Inter legend Beppe Bergomi believes that the return of Romelu Lukaku to the Nerazzurri is a positive move, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW, Beppe Bergomi was asked if the signing of the Belgian striker shifts the balance in Serie A in Inter’s favour and away from AC Milan who won the title last season.

Beppe Bergomi certainly feels that he is a high-quality player that can perform in Serie A but it is too soon to predict the Scudetto favourites.

“It’s too early to say. He’s certainly a player who can do very well in our league, he’s already shown that.

“This year Inter’s forwards have all done a good job, but they lacked an element capable of providing depth and stretching the game, as well as restarting once the ball has been recovered. For me, Lukaku’s is a positive return.”

One of the major issues surrounding Romelu Lukaku’s arrival on loan from Chelsea is that the club are trying to find a way to fit him, Lautaro Martinez, and Paulo Dybala into the same team.

Beppe Bergomi seems to think that it will be a very difficult task but it is not impossible and it is up to Simone Inzaghi to find a way.

“Why should we take away a dream from the fans? Dybala is a footballer with great technical qualities. But then comes my thoughts as a defender and pundit, of one who always looks for balance in a team.

“It’s difficult to put two strikers plus Dybala together. It can be done, it will be up to the coach to find the appropriate playing solutions, but let’s say it becomes difficult. Dybala’s technical qualities, in any case, are unquestionable.”

It seems that Milan Skriniar will leave Inter to raise money for these other deals and Beppe Bergomi think that it will hurt Inter.

“Inter would lose a lot. There are players who create identity and Skriniar is one of these, one who has Inter in his heart. He, Barella, Bastoni and Lautaro, for example, are those elements that give the right message to the incoming foreigner or youth player. If Milan were to leave, it would be a great loss for the Nerazzurri.”
