Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has emphasised the quality of Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal who are set to leave Inter this summer, according to a report in the Chilean broadcast media.

The vice president was asked about the two Chilean players during an interview with ADN Deportes, a Chilean television channel, via FCInter1908.

He pointed out that they are still both a huge part of the Chilean national team setup and they are still capable of heading to teams that play in a competitive environment.

“They are two great parts of the Chilean team and I think they can still play at a high level.”

The two players are two of the highest earners at Inter and the Nerazzurri need them to find new clubs so that they can save money on the wage bill.

The departure of Alexis Sanchez in particular is linked to the possible arrival of Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala.

They need space both in the wage budget and in the attacking part of the squad to bring him in.
