Lukaku Previews Asllani’s Inter Arrival: “He Will Surprise Us, I Like His Mentality”

Romelu Lukaku has previewed Kristjan Asllani’s arrival at Inter by saying that he likes the Albanian’s mentality, according to a report on social media.

A video was shared to the Inter Twitter feed today just before the transfer from Empoli of Kristjan Asllani was officially announced.

The video shows Romelu Lukaku, who had his transfer announced yesterday, chatting to Inter president Steven Zhang about the Albanian midfielder.

The Belgian striker was quick to point out that he really likes the mentality of the 20-year-old, saying it is more like that of a 27-year-old.

“I spoke to the new guy Asllani, I like his mentality, he will surprise us. He’s only 20 but he speaks like a 27-year-old.”

Kristjan Aslanni joins on a one-year loan from Empoli where he had a fantastic season under the guidance of Andreazzoli. The loan part of the deal will cost Inter €4 million and then the deal will be made permanent next summer for €10 million.

He is viewed as the cover for Marcelo Brozovic and possibly the replacement for the future.
