Goalkeeper Andre Onana will wear the shirt number 24 at Inter for next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 26-year-old will take up the shirt number while captain Samir Handanovic will continue to wear the Number One shirt.

Onana’s arrival at Inter on a free transfer from Ajax was finally confirmed yesterday by the club, after months of the move being widely reported as well as the player having reportedly already signed his contract several weeks ago.

Now that Onana is officially an Inter player, he’ll gear up to become a part of the Nerazzurri squad starting next season, and one of the first orders of business will be picking a shirt number.

Handanovic is still wearing the Number One shirt for at least one more season, and so in the meantime the Cameroonian will be assigned the Number 24 shirt.
