Inter have yet to make defender Stefan de Vrij an offer for a contract extension, while Manchester United look to be ready to make him an offer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Red Devils are the club currently keenest on the 30-year-old, whose future with the Nerazzurri is uncertain.

Inter could already be close to seeing one first-choice defender depart this summer in the form of Milan Skriniar, but they could also be ready to part with de Vrij.

The Dutchman’s current deal is set to run out at the end of June 2023, and the club have yet to give him an indication that they want to extend his deal.

Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag is an admirer of de Vrij, and the Premier League giants are weighing up a move for him, while the Neerazzurri would be willing to listen to offers.
