Inter could look to sell Stefan de Vrij this summer in order to make sure that they meet their financial goal of a €60 million net profit during the transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Dutchman could follow Milan Skriniar out the door.
Inter are starting to turn their attention to making sales, with a number of signings already wrapped up, and the first of these will be Skriniar’s, who they could agree a deal with Paris Saint-Germain over for around €70 million.
Meanwhile, Andrea Pinamonti also looks set for a departure amid the pressing of Atalanta, and the Nerazzurri value him at around €20 million.
Should these two players be sold, the total amount of the fees would likely be in the region of €85 million, and if this were to be the case the net profit would be €77.5 million, given that the deals that Inter have done so far have largely been either free transfers or cut-price deals.
However, factoring in the outlay that it will take to sign Torino’s Bremer and also potentially Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, the situation would change.
There are numerous players who could be cashed in on this summer, including fringe squad members such as Dalbert and Valentino Lazaro, as well as youngsters like Lucien Agoume.
Should any of these players be sold it would help add to the net profit towards the €60 million target, but selling de Vrij could also represent an appealing way to bring in quick cash and ensure that targets Bremer and Milenkovic are signed.
The 30-year-old is a target for Chelsea and Manchester United, and would likely be sold for around €15-20 million, whilst at this moment there is no indication that his contract will be extended beyond the end of June 2023 before the transfer window shuts.
