Inter would be extremely reluctant to consider any offers for wingback Denzel Dumfries that are under €40 million, and feel that his value will rise even further.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri do not want to upend the team by selling the Dutchman, and that they feel that none of the interest in him from Europe’s top clubs is sufficient to convince them with an offer.

Dumfries arrived last summer from PSV for €12.5 million, but already the 26-year-old’s value has risen significantly off the back of an outstanding debut campaign, and this has not gone unnoticed in the form of transfer interest.

All of Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Chelsea are keen on the Dutchman, but the Nerazzurri are not thinking about a sale unless a club is to test their resolve with a massive offer.

The feeling is that, especially since Ivan Perisic has departed on a free transfer with Robin Gosens set to take over on the left, it would be too disruptive to also sell Dumfries, who has proven that he is a reliable option in coach Simone Inzgahi’s system.

Furthermore, the sense is that while a sale of Dumfries this summer could already guarantee a significant capital gain, his value will only increase further, and that if they wait to cash in they could be rewarded.
