Marseille and Valencia are both interested in signing Inter midfielder Matias Vecino on a free transfer for next season.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that incoming Marseille coach Igor Tudor is an admirer of the Uruguayan, whilst Valencia are also keen on his signature.

Vecino’s contract with Inter is up and has not be extended, and so he will leave on a free transfer for the upcoming season, although where the 30-year-old will end up is not yet known.

Valencia have been among the clubs linked with the midfielder, and they remain interested, whilst Marseille could also step up their interest.

Former Hellas Verona boss Tudor has taken over at the helm of the French giants following the departure of Jorge Sampaoli as head coach, and he is looking to Serie A for potential squad reinforcements for the Champions League, with a focus on free transfers.

Vecino’s availability has Tudor and Marseille interested, and they could rival Valencia for his signature.
