Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Brazilian giants Flamengo for next season, and soon he will be in Brazil to wrap up the deal.

This according to Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, who reported in a tweet that the Chilean should undergo his medicals this week to complete the signing.

Vidal has been strongly linked with Flamengo for some time, and in recent weeks the 35-year-old has looked to be closer than ever to joining the Brazilian club.

Now, things look to be all but done as he has already signed a pre-contract agreement according to Merlo, and once the medicals and any other remaining formalities are dispensed with, he will officially sign his contract and become a Flamengo player.

Vidal’s departure from Inter has long looked to be inevitable, but now it is more clear than ever what the future holds for the Chilean midfielder.

Merlo tweeted, “Arturo Vidal has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Flamengo. In midweek he’ll arrive in Brazil to undergo medicals and then sign a contract until the end of December 2023.”
