Cremonese Sporting Director Simone Giachetta has confirmed that things are in place for the newly-promoted club to sign Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu on loan.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, Giachetta acknowledged that they have an agreement with both the player and with the Nerazzurri, whilst he also stated that there are no new developments to report regarding his club’s potential pursuit of midfielder Lucien Agoume.

Radu’s departure from Inter has looked inevitable for some time, as the Romanian hardly played last season and is not in the plans for the upcoming campaign, and a loan move has always appeared to be the likeliest option.

Several clubs showed an interest in signing the 25-year-old for the season, but it is Cremonese who have stepped forward, and they now look to be close to getting a deal over the line for him on loan, according to their Sporting Director.

“We have an agreement with the player and with Inter,” Giachetta acknowledged, “now he must work out the final details with the club, but I believe that he could be at the training ground very soon.”

Next, Giachetta was asked about his club’s interest in Inter midfielder Agoume and Roma wingback Riccardo Calafiori, and he replied that “There are no updates, they’re two young players that we appreciate, along with many others, we’ll see if anything develops.”
