Inter-owned striker Sebastiano Esposito is glad to have completed a season-long loan move to join Belgian giants Anderlecht during the upcoming campaign.

Speaking to Anderlecht’s official site, the 19-year-old gave his thoughts after completing the switch, and stated that he’s looking forward to playing in the Anderlecht shirt.

Esposito had been expected to join Anderlecht for some time, and today confirmation finally arrived as the Belgian team officially announced that they have signed the striker on a season-long loan deal which contains an option to buy.

The young striker played for Basel on loan last campaign, and in the season before last he had spells with SPAL and then Venezia on loan in Serie B, helping the latter to promotion to the top flight.

Now, Esposito will try his hand in the Belgian league, where he will look to take another step forward within the senior game at the top flight level.

“I’m very excited to be playing for RSC Anderlecht this season,” he said. “I’ve heard nothing but good things about this club, especially about the way they manage to develop young talents.”

The striker went on that “I’m also happy that I can join the group early in the preparation, that way we can get ready for the start of the season together.”
