Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito has joined Belgian giants Anderlecht on a season-long loan.

This is confirmed by an announcement on Anderlecht’s official site, where they reveal that the 19-year-old has made the move for the upcoming campaign.

Esposito spent last season on loan in Switzerland with Basel, having played for SPAL and Venezia on loan in Serie B during the season before last, and another loan move to continue his development within the senior game always looked to be likely.

A number of clubs showed an interest in bringing in the young striker, but it was Anderlecht who always looked to be keenest, with the move to the Belgian team having looked to be close for some time.

Anderlecht note in their announcement that the deal contains an option for to purchase Esposito on a permanent basis, and while they do not mention it, it has been widely reported that the Nerazzurri also have a buyback clause in the deal should they exercise this option.
