Inter defender Zinho Vanheusden is set to join AZ Alkmaar on a season-long dry loan for next season.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the negotiations are well underway on a loan deal that will see the 21-year-old make the switch to the Eredivisie in the upcoming season.

Vanheusden re-joined Inter on a permanent basis from Club Brugge last summer, and proceeded to spend the season just gone on loan with Genoa in Serie A.

However, the Grifone were relegated, and the Belgian had an up-and-down campaign where his progress was halted by spells out injured even though he showed flashes of his ability.

Now, Vanheusden is set to make the switch to AZ, where he will look to find consistency and take another step forward within the senior game.

The talks are in an advanced stage, and now all that remains is for the clubs to work out the final details.
