Inter’s pursuit to sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer remains “frozen” due to the number of forwards already in the squad, according to Italian media.
Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica report that the Nerazzurri cannot sign the 28-year-old without offloading not just Alexis Sanchez but also another forward, and so things are on standby, possibly intractably.
Dybala remains a target for Inter, who had looked on the verge of signing him just a few weeks ago, but the arrival of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea has shifted the balance massively.
Now, with no shortage of forwards in the squad, even getting Alexis Sanchez out of the team and off the wage bill may not be enough to make room for the Argentine, and one out of Edin Dzeko or Joaquin Correa could also have to leave.
According to La Repubblica, for the time being things do not look to be in place for Inter to sign Dybala.
