Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has been greeted by a large number of Flamengo fans who have invaded the airport where he landed ahead of his expected move to the Brazilian giants.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the 35-year-old has landed in Brazil where there is already excitement around his anticipated move to Flamengo.

Vidal has made no secret of the fact that he would welcome a move to Flamengo for some time, and now the long-anticipated move looks to be on the verge of happening, with the Chilean set to sign an 18-month contract until the end of December 2023.

A number of clubs had been interested in signing Vidal, but he has chosen Flamengo over all the other suitors, and many of the club’s supporters cannot wait to see the switch happen.

Now that he is in Brazil, the 35-year-old can get the medicals and the other formalities of the deal out of the way and officially become a Flamengo player, ending his two-year tenure at Inter.
