Midfielder Arturo Vidal will earn a net of €3.6 million across his eighteen-month contract with Flamengo when he leaves Inter.

This according to the Argentine edition of Marca, who report that the 35-year-old’s wages on the move have been revealed, and that he will earn substantially more than he would have had he chosen to join Boca Juniors.

Vidal’s move to Flamengo now looks to be right on the verge of being completed, with the Brazilian giants having been pursuing him for a long time and now very close to getting their man.

The Chilean had a number of offers in front of him for the summer, with a departure from Inter having been all but inevitable, but in the end it was a return to South America that he decided on, with Flamengo and Boca the final two clubs in his consideration.

The Argentines had made Vidal an offer which he considered, but the offer from Flamengo of a deal until the end of December 2023 on significantly higher wages was enough to convince him even though Boca put forward a deal with a longer duration.
