Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that some aspects of Inter’s transfer strategy that hadn’t been known are now more clear after yesterday’s preseason kick-off press conference.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, Biasin analyzed how the Nerazzurri are planning to move forward in the transfer window based on some of the recent revelations, including their defensive plans and a possible shift in their financial target.

Inter have already had a very active transfer window, with today’s confirmation of Raoul Bellanova’s arrival from Cagliari meaning that five first-team signings have already been completed.

More are likely on the way, whilst major sales are also anticipated, but according to Biasin things may go a little differently than has been expected so far based on what has now been revealed about the club’s transfer strategy.

He writes that “Here are a few secrets that have seemingly been revealed: 1) The widely-reported €60 million net profit must be made by June 30 2023, not by the end of August. This is hardly a minor difference.”

“2) Inter will sell only one of the first-choice defenders,” he continues, “either Skriniar (probable) or de Vrij, not both. 3) There’s still a pact with Bremer but he can only be signed after a sale is completed.”

Biasin goes on in the list, “4) Milenkovic remains a target. 5) The aim is to have a squad made up of eleven starting-quality players and eleven substitutes of a similar or slightly lower level.”

He reveals one final point, “6) Lukaku has managed to take away Dybala’s spot, and now a little ‘magic’ is needed.”
