Inter president Steven Zhang will be meeting with AC Milan executive Gerry Cardinale in September to better understand where the two clubs stand on their stadium future, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, there are plenty of meetings to be had and decisions to be made when it comes to where Inter and AC Milan will be playing their home games in the coming years.

The decision on the new San Siro stadium will not arrive until November when the public debate has concluded and Milan Mayor Beppe Sala has made it clear what his political future is, whether that be regionally or nationally.

If there is no clear agreement on the San Siro area, there will be a move to Sesto San Giovanni instead. It is not clear though whether that move to Sesto San Giovanni would only be undertaken by the Rossoneri who could choose to have a stadium of their own there.

There will be a meeting between the clubs in the first half of September to better understand the stances of each club.
