Salernitana sporting director Morgan De Sanctis has said that they are very confident of signing Lorenzo Pirola from Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Morgan De Sanctis is confident that Inter youngster Lorenzo Pirola will be playing for the Granata next season.

Talking about the deal, he said: “We are very confident.”

Lorenzo Pirola spent the last two seasons on loan at Monza in Serie B and he helped them to get promoted to Serie A last season. They had an option to keep him but wanted a lower price tag than Inter were willing to offer.

Now the Italian centre back looks set to head to Salernitana on a one-year loan deal and they will have an obligation to make that deal permanent for €4 million.

Inter are inserting a buy-back clause so that they can re-sign him should he improve considerably.
