Inter are still the only club to have put forward a serious offer to Paulo Dybala for a free transfer this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri’s formal offer to the 28-year-old stands even if a deal cannot be done right now.
Inter had looked very close to signing Dybala last month when he was ready to accept their offer, but the shock return of Romelu Lukaku put everything up in the air regarding the situation.
The exit of Alexis Sanchez looks inevitable, but even then it is far from clear that there will be space in attack for Dybala, with no indications that Edin Dzeko or Joaquin Correa will depart this summer.
Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang is still a big fan of the idea of signing Dybala and would push for a move to happen, but right now the situation is ambiguous.
Inter have told Dybala that if he waits then they would be willing to sign him in the event that they get things ready by offloading other forwards, but also that they will not stand in the way of him agreeing a deal with another club.
The Argentine is now back in Italy, having returned to Turin, and starting his physical preparations for the upcoming season, and he increasingly wants certainty about his future.
The likes of AC Milan, Napoli, and Manchester United have registered some interest, but for now it is Inter who are the one club to have made Dybala a serious offer.
