Monza CEO Adriano Galliani expects that his club will make a signing in attack, and that they could sign two strikers, amid transfer links to Inter’s Andrea Pinamonti.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, Galliani acknowledged that there is interest in bolstering the newly-promoted team’s attack, although he is not yet sure which players will end up being signed.

Monza have already shown significant ambition in the transfer market, and they may not be done, as they have been linked with a number of potential high-profile deals in attack, including Pinamonti.

The 23-year-old impressed with his season on loan with Empoli last campaign, and Monza are among the clubs most strongly linked with a move for him as they aim to have him play the same role in their adjustment to the top flight as he had done for the Tuscans last season.

Asked about the club’s plans, Galliani stated that “Most likely a striker will arrive, maybe two, but I can’t say who, it’s only right for the people involved in transfer deals to stay quiet about it.”
