Newly-signed Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani is already going some way towards showing what he is capable of as he begins training with his new club.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who note that the 20-year-old’s display was a highlight of the training match in yesterday’s training session.

Asllani only arrived at Inter a few days ago, with the club having wrapped up a loan deal with a purchase obligation from Empoli, but he is wasting no time in getting up to speed in preseason preparations.

In the training match, coach Simone Inzaghi tested the Albanian out in the heart of midfield, and he shone with a display of technical skill and industry, also grabbing a goal and several assists as he showed that he can be decisive in the final third.

Asllani is anticipated to be the main backup to Marcelo Brozovic in the Nerazzurri’s squad next season, something which was lacking last season.
