Roma head coach Jose Mourinho wants to sign Paulo Dybala and has placed the Argentine ahead of other transfer targets in attack, while the player still wants a move to Inter.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Giallorossi boss is pushing for Dybala’s signing but that his preference remains the Nerazzurri.
Roma have already made Dybala a formal offer last month, and the capital club’s interest in the 28-year-old on a free transfer has never really gone away.
Mourinho in particular is keen on the former Juventus forward, and he would rather sign Dybala than other targets like Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha or Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
For the time being, however, Dybala continues to wait for Inter to get a deal wrapped up for him, although the Giallorossi could get ready to sign him as the situation with the Nerazzurri drags on.
