Inter are cooling down on the idea of signing defender Nikola Milenkovic, and are increasingly thinking about lower-cost signings for their second defensive signing of the summer after Torino’s Bremer.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are increasingly more inclined towards signing a player like Borussia Dortmund’s Dan-Axel Zagadou on a free transfer than moving for Milenkovic.
Bremer remains the priority in defense for Inter no matter what else happens, and with Milan Skriniar inching towards a sale to Paris Saint-Germain the club would look to sign a second defender to reinforce their backline.
Milenkovic has been linked as the priority target in this respect, but the 24-year-old could end up being too costly for how much the Nerazzurri want to invest in the role.
Zagadou is a player who the Nerazzurri are thinking about as he is available out of contract this summer, whilst a loan for Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu is also a possibility.
