Inter have a number of players lined up as possible alternatives for defensive signings in the event that they are unable to get a deal done for Torino’s Bremer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that while Bremer remains the priority target, there are several other players who could be signed if they miss out on the Brazilian, including RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol and Leicester City’s Caglar Soynucu.

Inter are in pole position to sign Bremer, but they are not the only team with a serious interest in him, with Juventus particularly keen on the 25-year-old.

Gvardiol would be seen as one possible alternative to Bremer, though the Croat is still considered a little too young to slot straight into the backline, and Soyuncu is another plausible target.

Both of these players would be valued at around €30 million, the same as Bremer and the same as Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji, another Nerazzurri target in defense.

Villarreal’s Pau Torres is on the Nerazzurri’s radar, although the Spaniard’s €50 million price tag could put him out of reach for them, whilst Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez is another player of interest, although they would have to beat Manchester United to his signature.

Lastly, young Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile is seen as an outside possibility in the event that Inter miss out on Bremer.
