Striker Edin Dzeko is back in training and will soon meet with coach Simone Inzaghi to tell him face-to-face that his desire is to remain at Inter.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 36-year-old wants to know where he stands with the coach, but that his first choice is definitely to remain at the Nerazzurri for another season.
Dzeko is highly rated by Inzaghi, with the pair having enjoyed a good working relationship in both of their first seasons at Inter the last time around.
The Bosnian has nevertheless been linked with a possible exit this summer to make way for Paulo Dybala in attack, with some interest having been shown in him by a few clubs, but his main priority is to stay at Inter.
Dzeko is now returning to training so that he can start preparing for the season to come, and soon he’ll meet with Inzaghi and have a discussion with the coach about the future and what his role in plans for next season are.
