Legendary former Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli feels confident that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta will be capable of making the team strong again heading into next season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Altobelli gave the view that even if the Nerazzurri are to lose defender Milan Skriniar amid links to a sale to Paris Saint-Germain, the CEO will figure out how to mitigate the loss.

Inter have already been very active in the transfer market this summer, and they are far from done with making signings, although a big name sale like that of Skriniar could prove to be a very damaging blow.

For Altobelli, though, Marotta is a very skilled operator when it comes to transfer, and the executive will find the right solutions to ensure that the team faces the upcoming season with a strong squad, even if an experience and top-class defender like Skriniar is on his way.

“The Inter executives said hello to me,” Altobelli said. “I told them what I though about last season, now we’re making many signings and have full confidence in Marotta. He’s a great director and will rebuild an excellent Inter with or without Skriniar.”
