Newly-signed Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana will wear the shirt number 24 starting next season.

This is confirmed in an announcement on the Nerazzurri’s official site, which states that the 26-year-old has decided on the shirt number that he will wear at his new club following his move from Ajax on a free transfer.

Onana had also worn the shirt number 24 with Ajax, with the experienced Maarten Stekelenburg having the Number One shirt in the Dutch champions’ squad, whilst the Cameroonian wears the number 23 shirt with his national team.

At Inter, captain Samir Handanovic currently wears the Number One shirt at the Nerazzurri, whilst third-choice goalkeeper Alex Cordaz wears shirt number 21.

Onana has opted for continuity with his time at Ajax with his choice of shirt number at Inter, as he looks to show why he has been so highly rated for his performances in the Eredivsie and at international level at a new club.
