Inter are expecting to receive Alexis Sanchez’s response to their offer of a severance payment worth around 60-65% of his remaining salary to leave the club within the next 48 hours.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who report that the Chilean should make his decision on the Nerazzurri’s proposal within the next couple of days as they seek to finally get his departure finalized.
Inter want Sanchez off of the wage bill and for his spot to be opened up in attack within the squad, but the 33-year-old still has one more season remaining on his deal.
In order to convince the forward to terminate his contract by mutual consent, the club would be ready to offer him an incentive of around two thirds of the wages owed to him on the final year of his deal.
Now, Sanchez is thinking about the offer and considering his future, and he will give a yes or no within the next 48 hours.
