Alexis Sanchez isn’t keen to agree an end to his time at Inter without first securing the destination of his new club.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 33-year-old has so far resisted all proposals to terminate his contract by mutual consent with a severance payment as he has not yet settled on his next club.
Inter are increasingly impatient to get Sanchez off of the books, and they are pushing to get things done with he and his agent as soon as possible, with their strategy being to offer him a substantial severance payment to agree to terminate his deal.
However, for the player’s part, he is looking for certainty regarding his future, as he has not yet found a new club that he is ready to join despite no shortage of interest in his signature.
Until Sanchez settles on a new club that he is happy with, the Chilean will be reluctant to decisively agree an end to his time at Inter.
