Newly-signed midfielder Kristjan Asllani shone in Inter’s friendly win over Lugano, whilst wingback Robin Gosens was the one player who looked off the pace in the view of Italian media.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport who did not assign player ratings for the match due to it being a friendly, but did give broad assessments of the player.

Asllani does not appear to be wasting any time settling into life in a Nerazzurri shirt and making his mark, and the 20-year-old put in an accomplished display in yesterday’s match.

Meanwhile, Danilo D’Ambrosio scored Inter’s opener in a 4-1 win, and the veteran defender was also praised by the newspaper for his solidity and energy during the match.

In attack, Romelu Lukaku did not manage to get himself on the scoresheet in his first appearance back in a Nerazzurri shirt, but in the view of the newspaper the Belgian still acquitted himself well in a match where he was clearly still far from full fitness.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan did not impress as much as fellow new signing Asllani as he kept things simple but didn’t really press the team on, whilst Gosens was the one player considered to have not been up to pair.

The German misplaced some passes and appeared as though there is still some way to go in training before he is up to speed for next season.
