Torino President Urbano Cairo feels that if the price for Inter defender Milan Skriniar could climb as high as €70 million, then it doesn’t make sense for Bremer to only be valued at €25 million.

Speaking to the press, as reported by the Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, Cairo gave his thoughts on the respective defenders’ values, with Inter heavily involved in the negotiations for both.

Both Bremer and Skriniar were among the outstanding defenders in Serie A and arguably in all of Europe last season, with the Granata player having been named as the best defender in the division for the campaign.

Skriniar is heavily linked with a sale to Paris Saint-Germain and the Nerazzurri could hold out for €70 million in order to get a deal done, whilst they are hoping to land Bremer for a much lower fee.

For Cairo, these respective valuations do not add up given that both are top-class defenders of a similar age.

“If I look at the sums at the two are valued at, I see that Skriniar is valued at €60-70 million, and Bremer at €25,” he remarked.

“I don’t think that adds up, because the latter is a top player,” he continued. “Yesterday I spoke to his agent and asked him, if Bremer was at team X, how much would he go for? I believe the answer was much higher.”
