Former Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has said that joining Flamengo is a dream he has had all of his life, according to a report on social media.

As was said by the Chilean midfielder on his Twitter page, he has dreamed of playing in Brazil for Flamengo all his life and now that dream is going to come true.

“Today a dream I have had all my life is coming true,” he said.

Arturo Vidal was officially announced as a new Flamengo player late on Wednesday night after he had managed to agree on personal terms with the Brazilian side.

He had also agreed on a severance pay package with Inter because he had a year left to run on his current contract with the Nerazzurri.

He joined Inter in 2020 under Antonio Conte and managed to make over 50 appearances for the club. He became a rotational option under Simone Inzaghi and given his large salary, the club needed to offload him from the wage bill.
