Inter boss Simone Inzaghi will be able to develop more game plans this summer now that he has a much deeper squad, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Inter boss will be able to address something that was a major issue for him last season.
Despite arguably having the best starting eleven in Serie A for much of the season, the drop-off in quality when he needed to use players from the bench proved to be too big and it led to missing out on the Scudetto.
He was totally wedded to the 3-5-2 system but Inter’s moves in the transfer market this season mean that he should be able to surprise teams with his team selection and formation changes.
The quality in midfield is much higher now that Kristjan Asllani and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have joined. Also, Edin Dzeko is now a powerful bench option rather than the main starting striker after Romelu Lukaku’s arrival.
