Italian journalist Xavier Jacobelli believes that with Inter looking as good as they are already, there may not be a place for Paulo Dybala in the team’s attack.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, Jacobelli gave his thoughts on the Nerazzurri’s display in their 4-1 win over Lugano in a friendly, and suggested that with Joaquin Correa in particular looking sharp, there may be little need to sign Dybala.
Dybala certainly remains on Inter’s radar, but the main aspect that appears to have been holding up a move for him is the fact that there are already four attackers in the squad even in the event that Alexis Sanchez is to leave the club.
Accordingly, it is not certain that the 28-year-old could be fit into the squad, and Jacobelli feels that this is especially the case considering that the Nerazzurri’s attack already looks well-stocked, not just numerically but also in terms of the quality of the forwards that they have.
Of the match against Lugano, he said that “I’d emphasize Handanovic’s performance, especially in light of uncertainty around Onana.”
“I liked Inter, they look very organized,” he continued, “Correa already looks very sharp. We have to ask ourselves this question: Is there room for Dybala in this Inter team?”
