Dalbert’s nightmare time at Inter is continuing after he suffered a serious knee injury which means he can’t leave the club, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Brazilian wingback is destined to remain on the books at Inter until the end of his contract.

He has spent the past three seasons on loan at different clubs after struggling to make any impact at Inter when he moved in 2017.

This summer it was expected that he would move away on a permanent deal and try to find some stability in his career.

Instead, he has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury whilst training by himself in Brazil. He will have to undergo knee surgery to address the issue and is going to spend many months on the sidelines.

That means that no one will bid for him and Inter must continue to pay his salary.
