Former Cagliari coach Leonardo Semplici has said that Raoul Bellanova will be a useful player for Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TuttoB, via FCInternews, the former Spal and Cagliari coach discussed one of Inter’s latest signings who he knows from his days at the Rossoblu.

Young Italian right-back Raoul Bellanova joined Inter from Cagliari at the beginning of January and he will provide depth and competition on both wings during the season and will be working hard to force his way into the team on a more regular basis.

Leonardo Semplici explained that there will be additional pressure and expectation when playing for Inter but the defender can be a good player for the Nerazzurri.

“Inter are a very important team, who have first-rate players. Raoul is a youngster with great prospects: if the Nerazzurri management has decided to invest in him, it means that they are ready to bet on his potential.

“Of course, moving from Cagliari to Inter changes perspectives and objectives, but by working hard in training he will be able to make himself useful to the cause. He is young and has to grow, but he has all the credentials to make a name for himself.”

Raoul Bellanova was a standout player in what was overall a poor Cagliari team last season who were sent down to Serie B.
