Former Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has continued to complain about the titles that Juventus lost in the Calciopoli scandal, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview at Parma’s training camp which has been reported by FCInternews, Gianluigi Buffon showed that he still feels wronged by the events of the mid-2000s that saw the Bianconeri have two titles taken off of them.

The Calciopoli scandal uncovered match-fixing in Italian football which saw multiple teams punished. Juventus were sent down to Serie B and they also had two of their titles taken off of them which were won whilst Gianluigi Buffon was at the club.

He was discussing the trophies that he has won in his career and it led him to point out once again that he feels he has two more titles to his name than the official records state.

“We are Italians and we have a vocabulary that encompasses every nuance. I’ll tell you that I’ve won 12 Italian championships, but I’ve been awarded 10.

“I’ve won Ligue 1 and with Parma a few Coppa Italias, then other Super Cups. The only European title I won was with Parma, while with Juve we lost a lot of finals.”
