Inter are set to sell striker Andrea Pinamonti to Atalanta, who have agreed a five-year deal with the 23-year-old and would be ready to come close to the Nerazzurri’s €20 million asking price.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that La Dea are close to swooping to beat Monza, Sassuolo, and Salernitana to Pinamonti, and that they have agreed to insert a buyback clause in the deal.
Atalanta have been one of the main teams pushing to sign Pinamonti this summer although hardly without competition due to the striker’s outstanding season on loan with Empoli last season.
The Lombard club could not move for the 23-year-old without first offloading one of Duvan Zapata or Luis Muriel, but with Muriel now appearing set for a move to Roma, they will be able to get a deal done for him.
There is now an agreement with Pinamonti for a five-year contract running until the end of June 2027, whilst an agreement should not be hard to find with the Nerazzurri at a bit lower than the €20 million valuation.
Inter are determined to not permanently lose control of the striker’s future and so would like a buyback option inserted in the deal, and Atalanta’s willingness to agree to such a clause could be key to them getting an agreement in place.
