Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella and defender Stefan de Vrij are set to make their preseason debuts in this evening’s friendly clash with Ligue 1 side Monaco.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who include the duo in their predicted starting eleven for the match.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi now has his full squad at his disposal following the late returns to training of players who had been on extended international duty such as Barella and de Vrij.
The coach is set to give both of the duo their first taste of preseason action from the start of the match against Monaco according to the Gazzetta.
Meanwhile, a start for first-choice pair Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku is anticipated.
The predicted starting elevens for Inter and Monaco are as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Darmian; Bellanova, Barella, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Gosens; Lukaku, Lautaro.
