The slow exit of Alexis Sanchez from Inter is stalling the Nerazzurri’s attempts to sign Paulo Dybala, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Chilean forward is currently acting as a blockage in both the squad and the wage bill which means that Paulo Dybala cannot be signed.

Inter are prepared to pay Alexis Sanchez severance pay to terminate his contract but he is asking for more than the €4 million that has been offered by the Nerazzurri so that he is compensated for a reduction in his wages at whichever club he joins next.

The issue is not so much the figures, though. It is that he is being very picky with which club he joins next and he wants a new club before he accepts a severance package with Inter.

He is determined to continue playing in a top league rather than somewhere like Japan or the Middle East.
