Inter’s intention would be to hold on to Milan Skriniar for next season in the event that they miss out on Torino defender Bremer to Juventus.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who outlines the situation on his homepage as being that the Nerazzurri still believe that they can sign the Brazilian, but if not they will decide against selling Skriniar.

Inter have been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for a big money sale of Skriniar, and one of the reasons that they’ve shown a willingness to sacrifice the Slovakian has been that they have been confident of securing Bremer.

Now, Juventus look to be pushing to sign the Brazilian ahead of them as they work to reinforce their defense following an agreement being reached with Bayern Munich for a big money sale of Matthijs de Ligt.

Pedulla writes that “Bremer has said yes to Inter for months, but by not wrapping up a deal they have run the risk of any sort of unpleasant surprises happening.”

He goes on that “Inter intend to get a deal done for €30 million plus add-ons, and Casadei as long as they continue to have control of his future, and they’ve planned to get a deal done in a meeting today.”

“The deal has been handled by an intermediary Busardo, but Juve – after having sold de Ligt to Bayern – have decided to push to sign him too,” he continued. “Now there looks to be a bidding war for him, and Inter could decide not to get involved despite chasing him for months.”

“For Inter, the verbal agreements still apply and just need to be made official,” Pedulla explains. “Busardo would like for Bremer to keep his word with Inter, but if things start to heat up it wouldn’t be up to him and another intermediary could take over.”

Pedulla predicts that “Should this happen Inter will keep Skriniar, but in the meantime they are still confident that they can get the ball over the line for Bremer.”

“However,” he cautions, “Juve are also hoping that the situation will be upended and the Brazilian will decide to accept their offer.”
