Flamengo’s Vice-President Marcos Graz has made clear that there is no chance that the Brazilian giants will sign Alexis Sanchez from Inter this summer.

Reported in a tweet by Brazilian journalist Vede Casagrande, Graz left no doubt as to his stance on the possibility that the 33-year-old could follow his Chile and former Nerazzurri teammate Arturo Vidal to the Brazilian club.

Flamengo have already completed the signing of one player from Inter this summer, with midfielder Arturo Vidal terminating his contract with the club by mutual consent to join them.

However, some reports have suggested that they might not be finished, and that they are interested in immediately reuniting Vidal with Sanchez in a Flamengo shirt.

These transfer rumours have been denied in no uncertain terms by the Brazilian team’s President, however, and so if Sanchez is to leave this summer it will be for another club.

Braz reported the remark, tweeting that “Questioned about the possibility of Alexis Sanchez at Flamengo, Braz responded: ‘Zero possibility.'”
