Inter-owned goalkeeper Brazao still believes that he could make his way at the Nerazzurri, but he is not getting ahead of himself and is focused on success with his current loan club Cruzeiro.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, the Brazilian took stock of his current situation and admitted that finding a place in Inter’s first team remains am ambition for him.

Brazao joined Inter from Parma during the summer of 2019, but so far he has yet to make his debut for the Nerazzurri, as he was signed more as a prospect for the future.

The 21-year-old has played with the likes of Albacete and Real Oviedo on loan to gain experience, whilst he has also suffered a couple of serious injury setbacks which have hampered his progress.

However, time is still very much on the Brazilian’s side, and for his part he is taking things one step at a time.

Regarding the progress of his recovery from his latest injury setback, Brazao explained that “My knee is fine. It’s been two months since I had my surgery on it and everything’s been going fine.”

Of a meeting with Inter, he said that “I talked to the directors and everything’s good.”

Regarding his future he said that “I still don’t know, we’ll talk tomorrow and see what we decide to do. For now, I’ll stay at Cruzeiro and then I’ll go back to Inter.”

Asked if he would like to debut for Inter, the young goalkeeper said that “Of course, it’s been my dream since childhood, but right now I have to work on getting my knee back to its best and avoid other injuries.”
