Inter will extend the contract of defender Milan Skriniar in the likely event that they miss out on the signing of Bremer from Torino.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri would take the Slovakian off of the market in the event that Bremer proves to be out of reach for them.
Inter have been willing to listen to Paris Saint-Germain’s offers partly because their expectation has been that they would be able to sign Bremer this summer, with the Brazilian considered to be a suitable replacement.
However, with Juventus now on the verge of signing the Granata defender, the Nerazzurri would not want to lose as important a player to their defense as Skriniar if he becomes unattainable.
In the event that Bremer does not arrive, Inter would move immediately to extend the contract of Skriniar, whose current deal expires at the end of June 2023, raising his wages to around €5 million net per season.
