Inter defender Milan Skriniar is set to be back in the squad for the team’s upcoming friendly matches, either against Lens this Saturday or against Lyon the following weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 27-year-old is close to making his return to fitness, whilst Robin Gosens is less likely to be available for the friendlies due to a muscle problem.

Skriniar is back in training but has been working separately from the rest of the group as he’s looked to put a muscle problem sustained while on international duty behind him.

This has come amid a backdrop of uncertainty about the Slovakian’s future considering the strong interest of Paris Saint-Germain in his signature, but the reason for his absence has ultimately been injury.

With Skriniar now close to being fully recovered from his injury, he should be called up soon, either for this weekend’s clash with Lens, or for the friendly against Lyon on Saturday, June 30.
