Torino defender Bremer continued to give Inter assurances that he would respect their pact and wanted to join this summer until yesterday morning when he finally accepted a much higher cash offer from Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that it was only yesterday morning that the 25-year-old finally had his mind changed amid the Bianconeri’s significant financial assault.

Bremer and Inter have been in contact for months through his agent Paolo Busardo, and over that time Busardo has given the Nerazzurri constant assurances that the Brazilian’s only desire is to join them this summer.

This had held for some time in the form of the player rejecting the advances of a number of clubs, including big money offers from the Premier League, but was severely tested by the interest of Juventus over the past couple days.

The Bianconeri had cash to burn after selling Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich in a massive money sale, and they set their sights on Bremer as their priority option to strengthen at the back in the Dutchman’s absence.

Initially, the player continued to give his assurances to Inter that their personal agreement would still hold, but yesterday morning his mind finally changed.
