Midfielder Matias Vecino is set to join Lazio this weekend following his departure from Inter at the end of his contract.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who report that the 30-year-old will make the Biancocelesti his next club after agreeing terms on a three-year contract worth €2.5 million net per season.

It has long been expected that Vecino would leave Inter this summer as the Uruguayan has not featured much in Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans, but it has been far from clear where he would end up going.

Now, it looks to be Lazio who have won the race for Vecino’s signature, with the capital club having been in talks with him and put forward a three-year contract offer worth €2.5 million net per season.

Everything is all ready to go, and the midfielder should become a Lazio player by the end of the week with only the signatures needed.
