Former Lazio and AC Milan defender Giuseppe Pancaro believe that Inter’s transfer window has given them a platform to challenge for the Serie A title next season.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Pancaro named the Nerazzurri as among the serious contenders for the Scudetto because they have made signings that have strengthened their squad in key areas.
The past few days have cast a dark cloud over Inter’s transfer window, but the fact remains that the overall window has still been a largely active and positive ones as they have restyle the midfield, brought in a goalkeeper, and also brought back Romelu Lukaku.
It remains to be seen how the team adjusts on the pitch to their new signings and how the balance shifts, but the strategy behind the signings made has been clear, and Pancaro believes that they have been enough to add the quality for a title challenge.
“Inter are reinforcing a team that was already very strong and without further players leaving I think they’re already prepared to mount a competitive challenge for the title,” he said.
