Inter new boy Henrikh Mkhitaryan has no doubts about his choice to join the Nerazzurri and is looking forward to working with Simone Inzaghi in the preseason and then during the upcoming campaign.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 33-year-old does not feel any regrets after leaving Roma on a free transfer only to have the Giallorossi sign Inter target Paulo Dybala as a kind of replacement for him.
Mkhitaryan may well have expected to have had Dybala as a teammate when he joined Inter early on in the summer transfer window, as the Argentine was reportedly close to the Nerazzurri at the time.
Instead, the Argenine joined the club that Mkhitaryan left at the end of his contract in something of a game of summer transfer musical chairs.
Nevertheless, Mkhitaryan feels that he has made the right decision for his future, and is looking forward to the next steps.
The Armenian had a fairly indifferent display in the first friendly of the season against Lugano, but coach Inzaghi feels that this is to be expected considering he was coming off an injury, and the coach believes he’ll be getting the best from Mkhitaryan soon.
